Food, or the absence of it
Nothing is sold to eat or drink at Wormsloe. Not a cafe, not a vending stand. What there is is a picnic area with about twenty tables on a first-come basis, which works well if you have brought something and works not at all if you have not. In summer this matters more than it sounds, because the site is open and uncovered in long stretches and you will want water within twenty minutes of setting off. Plan the food part of your day around the visit rather than inside it: how the day usually runs.
Restrooms, the gift shop and parking
Restrooms and a gift shop are near the visitor building at the entrance end, which is also where you park. Use both before you head down the avenue, because the far end of the site is a mile and a half from either. The shop is a shop; nobody needs to buy anything, though it is where you can pick up something for children who have run out of interest in tabby.
Pets
